Journals of a Penguin: Fixing the Analog Loophole
I found a good guide on how to disable the three-finger salute on your terminal (an analog loophole). Here it is in summary*:
vi /etc/inittab- comment the line with
ca::ctrlaltdel:/sbin/shutdown -t3 -r now - reload init
init q
Is that hard, hmmm? There are other suggestions at the link above. Now, I’m looking for a way to put a large notice in the terminal that should say “Do not format; DB server”. I swear, it happened to me once.
* It is assumed that you’re using a Red Hat-based distribution. Also, you’ll need to be root to do most of the commands.
