Instant Messaging Quirks

If you use Yahoo! Messenger, watch out for some sort of virus spreading through the said instant messenger. I even had to resort to blacklisting some of my friends that got ‘infected’. One of my school’s administrators happen to be on my buddy list. Then I recieved this yesterday morning…

who is beside you in this pic <some link> so good-looking

This had me laughing so hard, I was gasping for air and almost fell off my chair. I didn’t know that our [bleep] is interested in one of my friends.

Maybe they really should look into another operating system that is less prone to viruses. <cough-Linux-cough>

P.S. I have no idea on how to fix this without reinstalling Windows (ouch).

  • Iba naman yun. Yun naman yung phishing. Hehehe.. Yun okay lang iclick, wag ka lang magsign in dun sa form.
  • jup
meron pa ung link nya fake na yahoo login.. or yun din un sinasabi nyo? hehe
  • Yes, that's the 'virus'. It sort of gets annoying when somebody leaves their infected computer turned on the whole day while their away. I just leave them a message then block them so I don't get lots of messenger windows popping up.

If you're as impatient as I am, I suggest that you block them. And yeah, don't click the links.
  • jp, is this the messages that say you've won something or there's god news or anything? anyways, my sister's ym is infected... everytime she chats with me, there's this announcement that pops out... so i assume it's her ym that is infected. does that mean i have to block her from my list? how do i determine if my ym is also infected?
