While Waiting…
I’m still waiting for the Globelines people to come over and install their stuff. One of them gave their word and said they’ll make sure everything gets set up before they leave.
Before going to my Digital Forensics class this afternoon, I stopped by our clubhouse to do a follow up. I ended up testing their switch. I had two servers on different DS3 lines pound on our node for two hours. The result was pleasing. Latency was not that good but a whole lot better than PLDT.
The route was a bit long though, I can’t remember it right but it was somewhere between 16 and 20 hops. I also checked latency on Globelines to Eastern Telecoms and the average for latency was 8ms.
Below are the results of my bandwidth “tests”. The second lines refer to outbound traffic from the servers and don’t mind the average, I snipped out the other parts.

[Update T+01:48] Okay they didn’t show up. They didn’t even bother to tell me when they will install their stuff.
