Messages from Gaia

It is clear that Gaia is a feminist. She demands that we use girl names for the typhoons. Milenyo isn’t macho enough but it sounds gay and that pissed her off. She also liked the billboards with women in underwear so she blew the ugly ones away (everything else).

Seriously speaking, I think the retarded billboard owners should’ve been more prepared. Imagine having shards of metal flying around at 160kph. Those tarpaulins should be folded too. If they fly off, that’s one bigass garbage. I hope this gets regulated if there is a regulating body (I hope there is).

By the looks of it, it seems that Meralco did a good job. I saw a truck bringing posts as technician/engineers came to fix the lines. By Friday, Meralco trucks and vans were out all over the place. I think they got a hand with the military too. Hats off to them. I think they really should start campaigning for subterrain cabling/wiring though.

Karma was still in effect. The house in the other village just accross our house has been getting renovations since forever. Their partly installed fibre glass roofing flew off (three pieces) and landed on our garage. It almost hit my mom and I thought something was really wrong when she was screaming for help. When it comes to morals, my mom really isn’t the best example out there (of all the people). She asked for the two pieces be hidden in our backyard (they’re huge). “Finder’s keeper’s”, I asked. I really didn’t want to be an accomplice and my dad wouldn’t have liked the idea anyway. I guess when life throws you roofs, build a shed.

To even it out, I could still say that storms bring out the best in people. I took my book on Java and started reading it from page one. Then after sleeping most of the time and computer-deprived for 48 hours, I took a walk and rented a PC at a cafe just outside our village. I found out that there’s power at Ortigas Center so I took off and went to work. I got to play with Ning too.

You might want to check out the Ning app I customized from the Ning Listing App. If you have or know a page about [or related to] the recent natural disaster, please post it at Day After Tomorrow – Manila.

Before I end this post, I enjoyed watching Milenyo beat the living shit out of the man-made non-living things. I was actually waiting for the tree at our front yard to hit our window while I sat on a La-Z-Boy. It would’ve been an ugly way to die, “he died watching a tree hit his window”. Must’ve been fun though.

It was a great show. It was good while it lasted.
