“Redmond, start your photocopiers”

I just finished watching Apple’s WWDC 2006 keynote address. Here‘s the transcript if you don’t have the time to watch it.

Will my next computer be a Mac? No. I think it’s still expensive and too high end. My 1.3GHz laptop still works for me. Also, some of the stuff that were shown are not big and new. Like Spaces (not MSN Spaces), this has been in Linux ever since.

On another note, why is it funny when Apple bashes Windows? And boy, look at the support and satisfaction of most of their users! It’s also true that market share has grown. I saw a couple of friends switch to Mac.

Just to be fair, I’m not getting Vista either. I’m going to migrate to Linux as soon as I get settled on a distro. If not, I’m sticking to XP.

Have you seen the new Leopard OS by Apple? Man it was quite ok, I still think its the same with Tiger with new programs and conroe support plus 64 bit version. Have to see it personally through retail stores here in manila, after they realese it.

I’m also excited to see a new macbook pro, mac pro and macbook that runs on merom hmm by that time even the 13″ duo core macbook’s price will drop.

Well, win vista isn’t bad though it will be so expensive like I think it will cost around 30 – 50 thousand pesos for the software alone, so expensive.

Sorry, It should be macbook and macbook pro that runs on merom while the mac pro runs on conroe processor.

Simply put, I don’t need Vista. I’m after something that is Unix-based because that’s the stuff that my work is running on. If I wanted eyecandy, I’d use XGL.

unix? di os-x hehe, it is both eye candy and virus free, hehe.

but since its expensive, linux will be a better choice. especially when many softwares will support it, though i still don’t digg linux that much.

I know. That’s why a Mac is one of the candidates for my next laptop. The price turns me off though. I can’t shelf out a hundred grand or more. I don’t have that kind of cash. Hehe..

If you’ve seen XGL, it’s better than OSX’s eyecandy.

isnt it a 3d rendition thing like a 3d cube screenaver? i haven’t seen it personally. What I like about Macs is the font rendering engine they use, I think its better than windows, it clearer and quite brighter to which makes it easier for the eyes,

100k? if your looking for MacBook Pro, but theres the 13″ macbook which cost around 75k, though through philmug website (http://philmug.com/). I don’t like buying here though its so expensive, like 20K additional for an apple laptop.. By the way the black macbook cost around 100k here but in reality it only cost at 80K.

Oh yeah. Steve Jobs majored in print media or something when he was in college. He studied how fonts should be spaced and where the points are. That’s why when Windows 3.1, the Macs still had prettier text.
